We had been exploring relocating to the Columbia area from Massachusetts for at least 2 years. We were working with another realtor that after a while was just not proving he was looking out for our best interest and his own. The market was very hot at the time and he was looking to handle the easy ones and not the one that needed some time and work. We answered a listing ad that Heather had placed and was really impressed with her response. Instead of just plugging our superlatives into a standard realtor mining site, she actually looked for listings that were not on the market, or were about to come on and brought them to our attention. We had a few that we made offers on, but they just didn't work out. Instead of cutting us loose as a lost cause, she stuck with us and continued her quest on our behalf. Over time a closeness developed and recently we found what we felt was the perfect house. However, it was in Aiken and not her MLS Listing area. She found us a realtor in the area that she was comfortable with knowing our personalities, and we were able to put the deal together. My wife feels terribly that she couldn't represent us, but Heather put her at ease by expressing honestly that she was really happy that she could have been a part of our move and that she truly was happy that we were able to find our next final house. She is a genuine caring person and will go out of her way to make your house hunting pleasurable. I am somewhat familiar with how the real estate process works in New England, but a novice for South Carolina, and Heather was able to walk us through everything in each occasion to bring us total comfort & trust that we were doing the right thing.
